Cameron Completes the Bondi to Manly Ultra

We are thrilled to share an extraordinary accomplishment by Nicholls & Co Principal, Cameron Nicholls, who recently completed the 80km Bondi to Manly Ultra Marathon to raise awareness and funds for Duchenne Australia. Cameron’s commitment and determination propelled him to the finish line, but even more impressive was the overwhelming community support that helped him raise a staggering $27,410 – making this the single largest fundraising campaign Duchenne Australia has ever received.

The Challenge: 80km of Grit and Determination

On October 26th, Cameron set out in the early hours, facing the demanding 80km coastal trek from Bondi Beach to Manly. The course wasn’t just a test of endurance but also one of mental resilience. Each step, climb, and stretch along the iconic Sydney coastline brought him closer to his goal: not only completing the Ultra but also inspiring others to support a cause. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a progressive muscle-wasting disease that predominantly affects young boys, and Cameron’s campaign aimed to bring greater awareness and much-needed funding for research, treatment, and support.

An Outpouring of Community Support

Cameron’s fundraising campaign captured the hearts of our community. Thanks to the support of friends, family, clients, and our local community, he surpassed the original goal and raised an impressive $27,410. These funds will directly benefit Duchenne Australia, helping them continue their mission to advance research, improve care, and provide hope for those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne Australia expressed heartfelt gratitude, marking this as the largest single campaign donation ever received by the organisation.
